What is Project-Based Learning?
Project Based Learning (PBL) is a teaching method where real-world scenarios, challenges, materials, and tools are used to help students gain knowledge and skills while completing a task within a designated period. Fashion Works utilizes PBL to develop and enhance kids learning by encouraging critical thinking, problem solving, teamwork and self-management.
Why does Project-Based Learning matter?
PBL is key for increasing children's success and long-term growth. Fashion Works programs combine collaboration, reflection, and decision-making to give students an opportunity to apply their skills and knowledge to real-world situations they may face as they mature. This type of active participation allows students to develop a deeper understanding of core academic concepts, and their own capabilities, which empowers them for life.
